Grow Your Marketing List with Guidearama and MailChimp

MailChimpToday we rolled out an integration between Guiderama and MailChimp that automates the process of building your email list from your content marketing assets. The integration will automatically send user registration information as well as the content asset name and subscription date stamp to a MailChimp list that you specify.

By automating the process of sending new leads into a MailChimp list, Guidearama can be the foundation for a closed loop marketing automation program that continually nurtures leads and keeps track of user interests. Stay tuned to our blog for more step-by-step instructions on how to setup your own marketing automation program using these two tools.

For now, let’s focus on how our existing users can put this integration into action.  Start by logging into your Guidearama account and visit the “LeadShelf” tab. Scroll down the the “Lead Settings” section and click the checkbox for “Add new leads to MailChimp”. MailChimp IntegrationThis will reveal the integration settings fields. Grab a new API key from MailChimp (Go to MailChimp Account Settings -> Extras -> API Keys) and paste it into the field shown in Guidearama. Our system will verify your API key and display a listing of all your available MailChimp Lists. (We suggest starting with a new list since we will be adding a few additional fields) Pick a list from the drop down and then click “Save Lead Settings”.

That is all you have to do. Guidearama will automatically communicate with MailChimp and add new fields for “Last Subscribed Asset”, “Last Subscription Date” and a group field “Guiderama Assets” that will keep track of all the assets that this email address has accessed.    Once you begin to generate leads they will automatically be added to your MailChimp list where you can turn on auto-reponders or run ongoing email marketing campaigns.
